We are excited to unveil the Helix Basic Care Monitoring System, a groundbreaking technology product from AusTech.
This cutting-edge solution represents a significant leap forward in rotating equipment monitoring, utilizing state-of-the-art Machine Learning (ML) algorithms to enable predictive maintenance.
Helix goes beyond traditional monitoring systems by delving deep into the DNA of machine health, meticulously analyzing multi-axis machine vibration and temperature data with our proprietary ML algorithms. With Helix, you can stay one step ahead, proactively maintaining your equipment for peak performance and reliability.
Asset Basic Care
Helix Multi Axis Vibration Monitoring
The Helix sensor wakes up hourly to collect vibration data in 3 axis. Once the data is collected, the sensor goes back to sleep to prolong battery life (up to 5 years). The next level of development includes a sensor wake up mode when vibration exceeds “normal levels”. The battery performance provides 5 years of uninterrupted service under the wake/sleep mode.
Helix Temperature Probe
Temperature data is collected when the sensor wakes up.
The collected data (vibration and temperature) is analyzed using proprietary algorithms that have a foundation in ISO standards (ISO 20816-1:2016) for vibration. The ML will correlate the vibration and temperature data and provide alerts in condition change. The alerts are received via an email or text message that originated from the AWS/AI App.
Cloud Services for Data Storage and Analysis
Cyber security refers to every aspect of protecting an organization and its employees and assets (data and intellectual property) against cyber threats. As cyberattacks become more common and sophisticated and corporate networks grow more complex, a variety of cyber security solutions are required to mitigate corporate cyber risk.
Keeping this in mind, many corporations restrict data being transmitted to Cloud Services such as AWS. For large sites, it may be necessary to install local servers loaded with the AWS AI/ML to overcome the cloud storage restrictions.
ISO 20816-1:2016
ISO 20816-1:2016 establishes general conditions and procedures for the measurement and evaluation of vibration using measurements made on rotating, non-rotating and non-reciprocating parts of complete machines.
It is applicable to measurements of both absolute and relative radial shaft vibration with regard to the monitoring of radial clearances, but excludes axial shaft vibration. The general evaluation criteria, which are presented in terms of both vibration magnitude and change of vibration, relate to both operational monitoring and acceptance testing. They have been provided primarily with regard to securing reliable, safe, long-term operation of the machine while minimizing adverse effects on associated equipment. Guidelines are also presented for setting operational limits.
Partnership for Success
The Helix Platform for Rotating Asset Basic Care provides insights into the end users asset health. The App dashboard provides a display of assets in Alert or Alarm which will prompt a text notification to the maintenance department.
Innovation continues with the development of linear (non rotating) monitoring and robotics/automation motion monitoring.
